Welcome to Solar Nest Recording Studio

We are a 25 year old recording facility offering the Okanagan a central yet rural secluded location, as well as rooms and equipment which rival anything available in the Okanagan recording scene.

Solar Nest features:

a) engineer / producer, and multi instrumentalist Brian Wiebe.

b) a 32 bit DAW based digital recording system featuring Prism, RME, Amek, Otari, Nuendo 12, processing from all the latest plugins, and all the trimmings (audio and post production for all media).

c) tone ....large collection of vintage / high quality electric and acoustic instruments / amps of all kinds... and the mics, preamps and AD/DA converters to do them justice (see equipment).

d) a growing body of work (140,000 cds sold and counting) which represents and showcases some of the best of our music community's songwriters and session players, both locally and internationally (See Projects). As of 2010, Solar Nest Arts represents 19 OMA / BCIMA artist nominations and 10 OMA awards to 5 artists.

For us music is not a hobby or a job... it's a passion. You will not find control freaks, fragile egomaniacs or purveyors of techno-rhetoric but you will find honesty and skillful ears rendering musicality with personality.
